Bangladesh started their world cup journey very well against South Africa, however, they failed to maintain their consistency. Their poor fielding effort has let them down in some crunch moment during the tournament. In addition to that there, bowling performance was not good enough to support their tremendous batting effort.
Masrafe Bin Mortaza 10/2
This world Cup 2019 has been a nightmare for the captain fantastic. Where he took only one wicket in 8 matches at an average of 300. Moreover, he did reasonably well as a captain with his limited resources.
Shakib Al Hasan 10/10
Shakib Al Hasan has been a revolution for this World Cup. Furthermore, he has evolved as a player during this world cup. As well as, he has amazed the spectator with his spectacular all-around performance. Where he has scored over 600 runs and also taken 10 crucial wickets. He has shown incredible consistency during this World Cup.
Tamim Iqbal 10/3
The expectation was really high on Tamim Iqbal but he has failed to deliver the goods. His over defensive approach during this World Cup has hurt the team very badly. He has got started in almost every match but he failed to convert those into big innings. Likewise, his fielding effort was rather disappointing in this World Cup as well. He dropped a dolly catch of Rohit Sharma against India, eventually, it did cost the game for Bangladesh.
Soumya Sarker 10/4
Soumya Sarker has not been able to perform to the potential in this World Cup. He has thrown his wicket after getting the start on certain occasions. As a bowler, he did really well with his limited opportunities. Moreover, he took 4 crucial wickets in the crucial stage of the innings.
Musfiqur Rahim 10/8
He has done exceeding well as a batsman in the world Cup has scored over 400 runs at an average of 60. His glove work was decent enough throughout the World Cup except for the jolt against New Zealand. He was one of the standout performers for Bangladesh.
Rubel Hossain 10/2
The quickest bowler of Bangladesh line up has really struggled in this World Cup. Moreover, his performance in the death over was really poor. Where the other bowler looked to bowl the change of pace and Yorkers. Surprisingly he was just targeting the good length in the slog over rather than the variation.
Mustafizur Rahman 10/7
He is one of the very few bright spots in this world Cup for Bangladesh. He took 20 wickets in this tournament with two 5 wicket hole at a strike rate of 22. Although his inability to take the wicket in power play has hurt his team very badly. Moreover, he was expensive on certain occasions as well. His death over performance was really satisfactory from the Bangladesh perspective.
Mohammed Saifuddin 10/7
He has really impressed as an all-rounder in this world Cup for Bangladesh. Although he was expensive with the bowl on certain occasions. Apart from that, he has shown lots of character in several situations as a player. He looked to be the player for the future of Bangladesh team. He was decent through the tournament with the bowl in different phases. In addition to that, he also has shown some good performance with the bat as well.
Mehedi Miraz 10/6
Mehedi Hasan has been decent as a bowler in this World Cup, although he has not been able to pick up the desired number of the wicket. But he was the most economical bowler of the team and allowed to apply pressure on the batsman with his immaculate line. His fielding effort has been really top class during the World Cup.
Liton Das 10/5
He started the World Cup campaign with a match-winning performance against the West Indies. But he failed to maintain consistency in other matches.
Sabbir Rahman 10/3
He was banned by BCB for the disciplinary issue but it was the Masrafe who gave him the lifeline before this World Cup. But he failed to deliver for the team. In the match against India, he got out after getting well set on 36. His fielding effort was also very poor against Australia, where he dropped David Warner. As a result, it cost the game for Bangladesh.
Mahmud Ullah Riyad 10/4
The World Cup was a mixed performance from him. His strike rate during the tournament was relatively low, which has hurt the progression of Bangladesh on certain occasions. Although he does not look physically fit most of the time in the tournament, which has affected his overall performance.
Mossadek Hossain 10/6
The World Cup has been a decent outing by him. He has done well by both bat bowl with his limited opportunities. His fielding performance was rather poor and he dropped an easy chance of Babar Azam against Pakistan.
Mohammed Mithun 10/2
He was given the responsibility to bat at the number 5 position but he failed to impress. Although before the World Cup he was decent at this position.
Abu Jayed Rahi
He was picked ahead of Taskin Ahmed during the World Cup. But very surprisingly he has not given any game to prove his worth.
