What aspects of the game holding Bangladesh cricket back

Some key aspects of the game are holding Bangladesh cricket back

Bangladesh needs a complete revamp of its whole cricketing structure. Starting from the first-class circuit to international.

Moreover, there is no questionnaire as well, which is holding back the cricket to going forward. Unless after 20 years from here on, they will still say that “we are yet to learn the art of the test cricket”. Which is really disheartening as a Bangladesh spectator.

Where is accountability in the Bangladesh team?

Bangladesh started the 2019 cricket world cup campaign in an impressive manner, but as the match progress, they faded in their way through.

So it was an obvious call to make overall scrutiny of the failure of the Bangladesh cricket team. But very surprisingly there is no sign of assessment of the disastrous performance of Bangladesh.

As per the continuation of the process Bangladesh did lose the series against Sri Lanka & Afghanistan. As a team to do well it is important to accept the mistakes.

Coaching staff juggle

Bangladesh has made wholesale changes to their coaching staff after the disappointing World Cup 2019 journey. Steve Rhodes has not done anything wrong since he has taken the responsibility from the Chandika Haturasingha.

But very sadly after the World Cup, he was sacked from the head coach position. There is no rocket science of success, nobody can make a team good to great by overnight. His progression was very satisfactory and players seem to respond to him very well at times.

Bangladesh world cup journey was jolted by some very substandard fielding effort. No coach in the world can teach you this basic aspect of the game.

It is clueless to blame Steve Rhodes entirely for world cup blemish. Bangladesh team has completed its circle of failure by losing the solitary test against Afghanistan.

Sunil Joshi did exceptionally well as a spin bowling coach, but he had embraced the same verdict.

Lack of Clear Mind Set

Different formats of the game demand identical mind set up for playing, but they clearly lacked this aspect of the game.

It has been 20 years since they have played their first test match, but very sadly they have not learned the art of playing the test match yet.

Test match is considered as the best format across the cricket, but they seem to be very much reluctant to play this particular type of game.

Lack of Eagerness towards the improvement

It is super important for an international player to improve the game all the time. But very surprisingly Bangladeshi players are not giving their best foot forward to expand their game.

With the blessing of technology nowadays it has become easy to get an overview of the weakness of individual players. So as a player it is important to work on the weakness for existence.

Less competent first-class structure

Pipeline at the moment is not looking very bright for the team Bangladesh. Even players with some extraordinary record at the first-class level are failing short to translate their performance into the highest level.

Which is really an ominous sign for the Bangladesh cricket. Bangladesh has got most of their players for the national team is from the under 19 levels in recent times.

The drought of quality player

There are very few players in the Bangladeshi line-up, who can fill the shoe for Shakib Al Hasan. Which can create a serious drought of the quality player in the near future.

Fan emotion backfire so often

No doubt fans of the Bangladesh team have played a huge role in their emergence as a cricketing giant.

But sometimes they create an extra burden on the player’s shoulder by huge amount of expectation. Which does make the tough period even more difficult for them. It is very essential to back the player during their stiff periods.
